The Mackinac (pronounced Mack-in-aw) bridge is a 5-mile long suspension bridge that connects the lower and upper parts of Michigan. It’s the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere and 7th largest in the world. The bridge opened on November 1, 1957.
