The Saguaro Hotel - A Colorful Oasis in the Middle of the Desert

Every summer road trip should inevitably involve a good pool and one of my favorite places to soak up some vitamin D is The Saguaro Hotel + Swim in Palm Springs, CA.

Just look at it. All the marketing speaks for itself, really.

A COLORFUL OASIS IN THE DESERT

Ever wondered what it would be like to sleep in a rainbow without the use of mind-altering substances? Your time has come. This vibrant, mid-mod boutique hotel fits well with aesthetic of Palm Springs and looks fabulous against the dull tones of the desert. Every corner of the resort is a god damn work of art.

THE ROOMS - (SPLURGE ON A BALCONY)

The color doesn’t stop here. For a full experience and the best views - grab yourself a balcony room. It's worth the price upgrade.

THE POOL

I think the photos speak for themselves but to be blunt, the pool is fucking awesome.

You'll often find pool floaties in the water, whether they are hotel property of leftovers from previous guests I'm unsure, but they definitely encourage you to bring your own.

NOTE:This is a hip summer hang with resident DJ’s on the weekends. If you’re more into the chill vibe try a weekday or plan an off season trip.

TACO TUESDAY, TACO THURSDAY, TACOS EVERY DAY

I’d like to give a shout-out to El Jefe, the main hotel restaurant for concocting some of the best tacos I’ve had outside of San Diego. The food here is great - and the margaritas?

Specials run on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6-9pm - and you don’t need to be a guest at the hotel to enjoy the restaurant. So if you choose not to stay here (which you won’t) I would still highly recommend eating here. Free welcome margs if you book a room through the site - just sayin'...

I MEAN HONESTLY....

Can I please just stay here forever?
